The Countdown #2 (2016) – hand-pulled screen print by Norman O’Flynn

Capetonian artist Norman O’Flynn (b.1971) is a Michaelis graduate who works as a painter and sculptor. O’Flynn appropriates pop culture iconography and its visual language in his work as devices to mask – in seemingly frivolous disguises – his concerns about power relations and social pressures in urban societies. His work is widely collected both locally and internationally.
