Nina Torr’s worlds collide
We’ve been fortunate to work with Nina Torr on a number of screen prints, with her Meet-in-the-making artwork one of the first in our sketchbook inspired project, and our 2016 collaboration titled “Keep me there” a firm favourite with art buyers.
The sophisticated line rendering that characterises her work makes for a very rewarding translation to screen print, so we were very keen to embark on another screen print collaboration with her.
Torr elaborates on this latest release, ‘Hold on’: ‘[This artwork] investigates a breakdown and shuffling of perceptions. In the past year most people have had to re-evaluate private and public values and beliefs. I tried to create something like an organic interface, fuelled by increased time spent on screens and the idea that the devices we create and use may reflect something about the nature of our minds back to us.’
It’s profound, it’s engaging and it’s beautifully redolent of the tension of our times. It’s also sure to sell fast, as Torr’s work does – so get clicking now.
